ZSE Direct is an online and mobile platform that enables users to view their CSD holdings and be able to buy and sell securities listed on the ZSE remotely.
Investors can access ZSE Direct through the Web portal (www.zsedirect.co.zw) A mobile application is being developed and will be launched soon.
The ZSE Direct platform is a secure platform which has been designed to safeguard the user through multiple authentication before access is granted.
ZSE Direct complements C-trade by enabling remote access to the market. ZSE Direct has added features to make it easier for first time investors to participate on the market.
To register on ZSE Direct, follow these simple steps;
For one to trade on the ZSE, a CSD Account is required. To register for a CSD Account, login to your account on ZSE Direct and click on where it says request for CSD Number. You will receive a confirmation that your request has been sent. Your CSD Account will be created within 48 hours. We will advise you in the event that it takes longer than 48 hours

Time in force is a special instruction used when placing an order to indicate how long an order will remain active before it is executed or expires. ZSE Direct has the following types of Time in Force;
The my portfolio tab shows :
Counter
The companies whose securities you have invested in
Holdings
The number of securities you currently have for each company
Purchase Value
The value of your securities when you initially bought them
Current Value
The current value minus the purchase value
Totals
This shows the totals of the Purchase Value, Current value and gain/loss
Portfolio Gain
This is calculated as follows;
(Current Value - Purchase Value)/Purchase Value x 100%
The my wallet tab shows;
Tradable Funds
The amount of money available in your ZSE Direct account, which you can use to buy securities or can withdraw
Funds pending settlement
After you sell your securities, the funds which are going through the T+3 settlement process, and are pending settlement
Sell Orders
The total of tradable funds and funds pending settlement
Orders can only be placed during the trading hours. The trading hours are;

Yes you are required to select a stockbroker for your trade to be executed. As part of the registration process, you will be required to select your desired stockbroker. The Stockbroker will have to approve your application during the registration process before you can begin to trade
The market watch tab is there to assist you as an investor to track the performance of the market. It includes the following information;
Symbol Is the counter or company which is trading on the ZSE Bid Volume Is the number of shares that buyers are willing to purchase Best Bid Is the best buy price on the market Best Ask Is the best sell price on the market Ask Volume The number of shares that sellers are willing to dispose Last Trade Price The price at which the last transaction on a particular counter happened at Last Volume The last traded number of shares on a counter Turnover The total amount or value of shares traded per counter Trades The number of transactions in a particular trading session per counter Price The current price that a share of stock is trading for on the market
